  • Small Business Works!

  • The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center provides one-on-one business consulting to local small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs. Assistance is provided in the areas of financial analysis, marketing, record keeping/taxes, business planning, market research and others.  The local SBDC conducts monthly business education seminars in conjunction with the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. "How to Start a Business" workshops, which explain the nuts and bolts of getting a business off the ground, are offered to the public on the second Monday of each month at the Goodwill Job Connection Center.

Another excellent resource for small businesses is SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, which provides free mentoring from local experts on how to start or grow a small business.  SCORE offers a wealth of information for entrepreneurs and small businesses and meets at the Chamber of Commerce offices.

The Chamber is also proud to support One Million Cups, which meets the first Wednesday of each month at 9:00AM at Tipsy McSways in downtown Brunswick to discuss entrepreneurial ideas and challenges.
